Sabah
- Located at the northeast part of
Borneo(World’s 3rd largest island), normally refer to as East
Malaysia (together with Sarawak).
- Capital city is Kota Kinabalu (KK),
formerly name Api Api. The largest city and popular tourism
spot.
- Main natural attractions of Sabah are

1. National parks, which include Kinabalu National Park, part of
world’s largest rainforests
2. Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, Sandakan.
3. Tunku Abdul Rahman National Marine Park, coral islands off
the coast of Kota Kinabalu.
4. Divers heaven of Sipadan Island , Mabul and Mataking etc
- Mt Kinabalu at 4101 M, the highest peak
in Malaysia as well as South East Asia
- World’s largest flowers, Rafflesia ,
nearly 1m in diameter, life is very short, can be found at the
Crocker Range.
- The Heritage Village, demonstrate the
culture and traditions of various indigenous groups of Sabah
(like Kadazan-dusun, Bajau,Murut ). There are replicas of
traditional house and handicrafts .
- The most important festival is Harvest
